Conyers Plumbing, Diagnosed Before It Is Quoted
Most plumbing failures start small and announce themselves quietly: a slow drain, a faint hiss, a water bill that creeps up. In Conyers, expansive red Piedmont clay stresses slabs and buried lines, mature oak and pine roots enter jointed laterals, and mid-life systems fail in familiar ways. We trace the symptom back to the source with a camera, a gauge, or a pressure test, then repair the section that actually failed. Once the fix is in, we refill the system, run every affected fixture, and check for drips before we pack the truck.
SoCo Plumbers handles residential and commercial plumbing in Conyers, Georgia, from a dripping faucet to a full sewer line replacement under a slab, scheduled Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Conyers city homes have a median year built of 1993 and Rockdale County 1990, so much of the work is mid-life systems, not new builds.
What separates us is simple: we diagnose before we quote. A sewer camera goes down the line, a leak detection sweep finds the slab leak, and you get a written price before we cut anything. We serve Olde Town Conyers, Fieldstone, Honey Creek, and Lake Capri, across ZIPs 30012, 30013, and 30094. A 30013 address alone does not prove Rockdale County or Conyers city limits, and whether a parcel is on sewer or septic is checked parcel by parcel. Roughly a third of Rockdale stock falls in the 1978–1995 polybutylene window by decade derivation — a check-for-it cohort, not a confirmed count for any house. Rockdale Water Resources supplies most of the area from Big Haynes Creek, and its 2025 CCR reported no violations.

Plumbing Services Built for Conyers Homes
Every job starts with the same question: what is actually failing? A running toilet is a flapper, a sewer backup is root intrusion, and low water pressure is often a failing pressure-reducing valve. We carry the tools to answer that on the first visit, from a hand auger to a hydro jetter, and we schedule work in Conyers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
A burst pipe or a sewer backup during business hours: shut off the main for a burst pipe, stop running water for a backup, and call +17708971640 Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility first.
Leaky faucets, running toilets, sweating supply lines, and cracked fittings. We diagnose the failed part and give you a written price before the repair.
Kitchen and bath drains slow from grease, hair, and soap scum. We start with a drain snake and move to hydro jetting when the clog is greasy or far down the line.
Root intrusion and shifted pipe are common in older Conyers neighbourhoods. We camera first, mark the break, and repair only the damaged section where that is sound.
When a clay or Orangeburg line is collapsed, patching buys time. We pull permits where required, trench, and replace with schedule 40 PVC, then camera the new line and backfill.
A new tank install includes the drip pan, expansion tank, and code-correct venting to the 2024 International Plumbing Code with Georgia Amendments. We haul the old unit off and check the installation before we leave.
Plenty of companies will quote over the phone. Fewer will tell you what is actually wrong, what it costs, and how long it takes before they start cutting. That is the whole job for us, and it is why homeowners in Conyers, GA keep our number in their contacts.
We show you the camera footage
You watch the sewer camera screen with us and see the roots, crack, or belly in the line. No guessing about what is under your slab.
We test before we close anything
Every repair gets a pressure test or a refill and flush before the wall goes back. If it drips, we find it before you do.
We match parts to your system
We match parts to the fixture or tank you already own, using common fittings and parts for the system in front of us, and we tell you before work starts if a part has to be ordered.
We keep one bathroom working
On repipes and multi-fixture jobs, we stage the work so you are never without a working toilet and shower overnight.
We write down what we found
You get a short report on the repair, the parts used, and anything else we noticed that is worth watching next season.
How a SoCo Plumbers Call Goes
No mystery, no waiting around all day. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you call until the water is running clean and the floor is dry again.
StartDone
Call and Describe It
You tell us what you are seeing: no hot water, water backing up, a hissing sound. We ask a few questions, agree an arrival window during business hours, and give you a written price before work starts.
Diagnose With Tools
We test rather than guess. A sewer camera, pressure gauge, or leak detection sweep tells us where the failure is, and we show you what we found instead of just handing you a bill.
Quote and Approve
You get a written scope with the price and the timeframe. Nothing gets cut, trenched, or replaced until you say go, and if the job changes once we open a wall, we stop and re-quote.
Fix, Test, and Clean Up
We complete the repair, pressure test the line or refill the system, and run every affected fixture. Then we haul out the old parts, wipe down the work area, and walk you through what we did.
Plumbing Problems We Fix Around Conyers
Most calls fall into a handful of categories, and we have seen every version of them in Conyers homes. If your issue is on this list, call during business hours and describe what you are seeing.
No hot water and a puddle under the tank
That is usually a failed tank or a leaking T&P valve. We test the element and thermostat, check the anode rod, and explain whether repair or replacement makes sense, with a written price before work.
Water backing up into the tub when you run the sink
A shared branch line is clogged downstream. We snake the line, then run a sewer camera to check for root intrusion or a belly in the pipe, because clearing the clog without finding the cause means you will call us again next month. Stop running water until the backup is cleared.
Water bill doubled with no visible leak
Slab leaks hide under flooring and often show as a warm spot or a running meter with everything off. We use leak detection equipment to pinpoint the line, then open the smallest access point to repair the copper or modern piping.
Low water pressure at every fixture
When the whole house is weak, the problem is at the main or the pressure-reducing valve, not the fixtures. We gauge the pressure, check the meter valve, and explain whether the valve or the main is the cause before quoting a repair.
Sewer smell in the basement or yard
That points to a broken sewer line, a dried-out trap, or a failing wax ring. We camera the line, smoke-test the drains if needed, and repair the break or reseal the fixture so the smell stops coming back.
No Accountability they replaced a toilet they broke but said they didn't, I complained about other things I found disrespectful only to get pushback, they cut holes they didn't need to cut. The plumbing work was good work but if your cutting holes go from stud to stud to make it easy on the homeowner to repair. And I didn't make a big deal of it but I got to different quotes first through a recommendation from a realtor that called and they quoted 3000 for plumbing and 14 hundred for sheet rock repair that turned into 3600 and no sheatrock repair.

SoCo plumbers are my go to for my plumbing needs in Atlanta. I've been using them and referring them to folks for something like two years now. Gabriel and the team show up when they say they will, are always kind and easy to work with & affordable! Thanks Gabriel!

Really nice people! The company is run by a husband-and-wife team, and they've both been very friendly and easy to work with. Their prices are reasonable, and once you're ready to get the work done, they get started right away. What I appreciated the most was that they stayed at my house well past normal business hours just to make sure I had running hot water and could take a shower that night. They installed my new pipes and water heater and made sure there were no leaks before leaving. As I've been checking out their work, I've also noticed how neat and careful they are. They aren't just tearing out my sheetrock unnecessarily. They're making clean cuts and even labeling the pieces they remove so my handyman can put them back when it's time to patch everything up. That means I won't have to buy a bunch of additional sheetrock, which will save me money on the repairs afterward. I really appreciate that they’re thinking about things like that while doing the job. So far, I'm very happy with the work and how they’ve handled everything. I'll update my review once the entire job is completed!

Serving Conyers and Rockdale County
Conyers runs from the older homes around Olde Town to newer builds toward Honey Creek and the 30094 ZIP. Our Conyers base serves four service areas — Olde Town Conyers, Fieldstone, Honey Creek, and Lake Capri — across Conyers ZIPs 30012, 30013, and 30094. A 30013 address alone does not prove Rockdale County or city limits, and sewer versus septic is checked parcel by parcel. Call Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, to ask about your address.
The best plumber for your job is the one who diagnoses before quoting, shows you what failed, and gives you a written price before work starts. In Georgia, plumbing work as a business must be performed by a plumber licensed by the State Construction Industry Licensing Board, Division of Master and Journeyman Plumbers — there is no $2,500 handyman exemption for plumbing, and the only personal exemption is owner-occupant DIY. Ask any plumber for licence details in writing, ask which permits apply, and ask whether the price is written down before work starts.
Oct-2026 Atlanta market data, not SoCo Plumbers’ prices — call for a written price before work. Angi Atlanta, updated 8 July 2026, gives an average plumber hire of $316, with a normal range of $174–$460. A standard 40–50 gallon tank water heater is $800–$2,000 installed (Angi Atlanta flat rate, July 2026), a tankless unit $1,406–$3,902 (Angi national, August 2026, average $2,641), and a whole-house repipe averages about $7,508 (Angi Atlanta, May 2026). No Conyers-only cost study was found, so these Atlanta figures are a budgeting guide only.
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Saturday and Sunday closed. Call +17708971640 during those hours. If you smell gas at any time, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility first — do not wait for business hours and do not call a plumber first.
Ask for licence details in writing, ask which code applies — work in Conyers is built to the 2024 International Plumbing Code with Georgia Amendments, effective 1 January 2026 — and ask whether permits will be pulled for water heater, gas, and repipe work. Also ask how sewer versus septic will be confirmed for your parcel, since Rockdale County is parcel-by-parcel, not neighbourhood-wide.
SoCo Plumbers serves Conyers ZIPs 30012, 30013, and 30094, including Olde Town Conyers, Fieldstone, Honey Creek, and Lake Capri, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. A 30013 address alone does not prove Rockdale County or Conyers city limits, so call +17708971640 and ask about your address. For a burst pipe, shut off the main; for a sewer backup, stop running water.
